Finishes

All finishes and product colours illustrated in the catalogue/website are for guidance only and may vary from time to time due to the ‘Hand’ finished nature of our products. You may also get a variance of finish when items are ordered at different times.

Care of Finishes

Standard Finishes: Polished Chrome (CP), Satin Chrome (SCP), Polished Stainless Steel (PSS), Satin Stainless Steel (SSS)

Special Finishes: Polished Nickel (PN), Satin Nickel (SN),

An occasional wipe over with a cloth dampened with a good quality light oil is recommended.

Polished Brass Lacquered (PB) and Special Finishes Lacquered (Applied on Solid Brass) Polished Brass Lacquered (PB), Satin Brass (SB), Antique Brass (AB), Brushed Antique Brass (BAB), Applied Bronze (BZ), Dark Bronze (DB), Polished Copper (PCOP), Satin Copper (SCOP), Black Nickel (BLN), Pewter (PEW)

To maintain the above finishes, regular dusting with a soft cloth and an occasional application of a good quality wax furniture polish will help prolong the life of the lacquer.

Lacquer Life: The life of lacquer is beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed.

However good the lacquer and however well applied, it remains a thin coat of protective material that will eventually break down, particularly when confronted with usage, atmospheric conditions or prolonged exterior exposure.

Living Special Finishes (Applied on Solid Brass) Satin Brass Waxed (SBW), Antique Brass Waxed (ABW), Brushed Antique Brass Waxed (BABW), Applied Bronze Waxed (BZW), Dark Bronze Waxed (DBW), Polished Brass Unlacquered (PBUL)

Special living finishes are designed to change with time. Over time the various finishes will wear through according to where they are positioned and how much use they get. Tones will develop in areas handled regularly and the product will develop its own character.

A light application of a good quality wax will assist in maintaining the finish in good condition.

Do not use solvents, cleaning chemicals or abrasive products with any products supplied.
